Glendale
By the mid-1800s Fresh Ponds was a thriving German farming community. In 1860 developer George C. Schott renamed his land Glendale, after his hometown in Ohio. It's been our home for generations.
Ridgewood
Once part of the Dutch settlement of Boswijk, Ridgewood is home to the 1709 Onderdonk House, the oldest Dutch Colonial stone house in New York City.
Middle Village
Settled around 1816 and named for its spot midway between Williamsburg and Jamaica on the turnpike that's now Metropolitan Avenue.
Maspeth
Chartered by Dutch and English settlers in the 1640s. Maspeth's September 11 memorial honors the local firehouse, which lost more members than any other FDNY unit.
